We have transcribed a number of Parish Registers, Census Returns,
Rate Books and some Electoral Rolls to help build a 'social history'
of the district. |

The Church Registers are those of St. Laurence, Northfield, St.
Johns, Halesowen, California Methodist Chapel and St. Michaels & All
Angels, Bartley Green. |

|
The Census Returns are 1841 - 1911 and we have recently completed
the 1939 Electoral Register. |
|
| |
|
The Parish of Northfield was divided into several Yields, i.e.
Selley, Middleton, Hay, Shendley and Bartley. The Rate Books
(amount of money people had to pay based on the rental value of
the property) that have been transcribed are for Bartley Yield. |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
We can undertake a limited
amount of research in our records on your behalf but would require a
donation towards our funds. |

|
|
|
There are some gaps in our records as Bartley
Green 'village' came under our umbrella at a later date. |
